Certified Renovators trained before April 22, 2010. The expiration date of your training has been extended to July 1, 2015. This is to remove the "penalty" of a shorter certification period for those who took the class in advance of the rule implementation.
RRP Training for Contractors
All contractors that work on pre-1978 homes and disturb more than 6 square feet of paint interior or 20 square feet of paint exterior or engage in window replacements must be Certified Renovators by April 22, 2010. These include but are not limited to renovators, remodelers, plumbers, painters, electricians, window & door contractors, landlords and some building engineers.

Public Health and Safety, Inc. specializes in environmental training. We are a leader in training for asbestos, mold and lead remediation. PHS, Inc. is an accredited training provider and will host the required training for Certified Renovators in Illinois. National Center for Healthy Housing, the accredited training provider developed the curriculum. This program meets the requirements of the USEPA's RRP rule and IDPH.
